Gloria Teasdale was the wife of Chester V. Teasdale until his death. Upon his death, Gloria inherited his entire fortune, half which she used to fund a financially struggling Freedonia. With the money only making a small impact on Freedonia's struggling economy, the President asked Mrs Teasdale for another $20 million, which she agreed to only if Rufus T. Firefly was immediately elected president.
